January 2005
Another year begins. I expect that the first few months will be heavy with MojoWorld 3 renders and I'm having so much fun growing trees!

Happy New YearHappy New Year
I had planned to call this piece "waiting for New Year's" and you'll notice that the clock hasn't quite hit midnight, but since I created this piece 2 days after the New Year started, it seemed like a silly title. No new models. The shelf on the wall is by Tony Lynch and everything else is mine.

The White DoorThe White Door
I drew this today using Photoshop. I just felt like drawing a door. Each element is in it's own layer although in this case no layer blends were used. It's just easier to keep the various pieces separate.

Mountian Hide AwayMountain Hide Away
Another Photoshop drawing. I'm enjoying the process of drawing architectural spaces. I've always enjoyed drawing buildings and pieces of buildings (or rendering them) but I've never done much work with Photoshop in this field. Created January 4, 2005

Time to Take Downt he TreeTime to Take Down the Tree
We actually didn't have a tree since we always spend the holidays away from home but given my late date in drawing and posting this, it seemed like an apt title. I don't really know what inspired me to do draw a Christmas ornament post Christmas like this. Created January 6, 2005

Taylor Sea VillageTaylor Sea Village
I'm working on updating Planet Taylor to have a MojoWorld 3 version. I'm currently just using slightly altered presets rather than creating things from scratch. I'm not sure if these renders reflect what will be the final version or not. Created January 3-7, 2005

Taylor Mountain VillageTaylor Mountain Village
More huts, but this time rendering from another region. Created January 3-7, 2005

Taylor Plains HutsTaylor Plains Huts
Last render of the 3.0 version of Planet Taylor. Created January 3-7, 2005

Land of the Pumpkin EatersLand of the Pumpkin Eaters
While experimenting with MojoTree, I came across something resembling a pumpkin.

Sleeping CalicoSleeping Calico
I've gotten Illustrator installed on my iBook. Sleeping Calico is my test drive image. I drew it with the track pad.

Snow on PinesSnow on Pines
Drew this in honor of the recent news of record snow levels in California.

Taylor Plains HutsPolar Forest
Playing with the latitude placements of forests.

The Harlequin BeetleThe Harlequin Beetle
While playing with my pumpkin, I discovered the Harlequin beetle.

Created January 13, 2005

The Pumpkin RingThe Pumpkin Ring
This Harlequin Beetle hasn't had any fresh meet lately and has taken to eating the nearby pumpkins. This beetle is VERY DANGEROUS when hungry. Created January 13, 2005

Yellow WallYellow Wall
Another Photoshop sketch.

The Cold MoonThe Cold Moon
My first posted render from Planet Pluto (challenge 166).

The Color of SpaceThe Color of Space
My second posted render of Planet Pluto.

Five TreesFive Trees
Planet Avon is my current WIP. It's a 3.0 world.

Happy New YearHappy Lunar New Year
The lunar new year starts on February 9th this year. In the Chinese calendar it's a green chicken (rooster). As the elements that make up the green chicken are metal and wood, I've made a robotic rooster and put him in a forest of trees.

Created January 2-23, 2005

Old GiantsOld Giants
This is my first render from pushinfader's Planet Onyota (challenge 167). It's also my first venture with the boulder plug in, something I didn't know existed until yesterday. Log onto Pandromeda's website and click on "My Account" and then "My Downloads" to find the boulder plug in installer.

Work in ProgressWork in Progress
I haven't installed Carrera on my iBook yet which limits my modeling ability to what I can do in Bryce. It's quite an experience to model something with a track pad. Thank goodness for the option of using numerical in puts.

Anyway, this is a representation of our last major project in our townhouse. Previous owners blocked off this hallway and put a built in case. First it held bamboo and bonsai. The final owners before us turned it into a hideously ugly wide screen tv case. Ian tore down the case and we had help moving the electric plugs back to their original spots and opening up the wall. But we haven't finished the wall. It needs dry walling and painting.

GraceGrace
I drew Grace with Photoshop. Purple and orange are one of my favorite color combinations.
