Home Again: 03/22/05

After only three hours of sleep after three days of nearly no sleep (argh!) we got up early to have one last breakfast with Ian's parents before leaving for home. We got all the way to Santa Nella by noon but we were delayed after lunch by the weather.

Just north of Santa Nella we saw a funnel cloud doing its best to become a tornado. We had rain so hard that it washed a mole rat out of its hole and onto the highway and pushed a truck off the southbound freeway, across the grass in a U-turn onto the northbound freeway. Nonetheless, we arrived safe and sound.
