One of the most gorgeous owl books we've borrowed is Owl Lake by Keizaburo Tejima. The book uses woodcuts to illustrate the tale of an father owl hunting along the side of a lake to feed his hungry family. Owl Lake is one of those picture books that you read for the illustrations. When we had the book we first enjoyed the art. Then we read the book. Then we went back and looked at the art again. We own a small collection of owl books, fiction and nonfiction. I would love to someday add a copy of Owl Lake to our family library. Five stars Other information:books | Keizaburo Tejima | childrens | 1987 © 1997-2012 Sarah Sammis
