What Are You Reading: April 11, 2011: 04/11/11
As this week I was mostly writing for my projects, my list of finished books isn't as bloated with homework. All of the picture books in my list this week are ones I read for my project. For fun reading, usually while my computer was chewing on something, I read a lot of manga. Next time I go to the library I will try to stock up on more volumes of Fullmetal Alchemist but I have a feeling I'm running out of what the library has.
My current reads are a mixture of fun reading and text books. I won't finish The Lost Hero any time soon because my son has it hidden away under his pillow on his top bunk. He's reading it before bed each night. I won't get it back until he's finished. In the meantime I want to finish the Xxxholic volumes I have at home from the library. I also want to finish Conrad's Fate by Diana Wynne Jones as it's due at the library soon.

I have to wait paitently while my son reads. I don't mind because he's reading above his grade level. It's good practice!

You'll have to get your son to read a bit extra... so you can get the book sooner. My sons of 12 and 13 are also reading quite a bit at the moment. I love it when they do!

How did you like the Fullmetal Alchemist books? I've only watched the anime (first series).

I am totally addicted to Fullmetal Alchemist. If you get a chance you should watch the newer version of the anime too (Brotherhood). Let me warn you though that the manga and the first version of the anime diverge greatly right around the point where the library is destroyed.

I only read ebooks for review. I do so much reading of electronic journal articles for school that I need regular reading as a chance to get away from the screen. I don't own (nor do I plan to own one) an e-reader.

From Cover to Cover actually wasn't too bad for me. And I'm sort of tickled that you're reading Intro to Cataloging. It looks like you did a lot of manga reading last week!

Cover to Cover is fine. The class its for is just turning out to be an almost overwhelming amount of work. The cataloging class is also work but fun. The manga doesn't take many brain cells to read.
