What Are You Reading: February 27, 2012: 02/26/12
My daughter's Scholastic book order came in. That combined with a trip to the library with her, results in a long list of books read (and listened to). Eight of the books this week were ones she read to me. My favorite of the lot is Spoon by Amy Krouse Rosenthal.
I'm still reading Mark Tidd in the Backwoods. Along with it, I have a bunch of other books from my TBR shelf going: Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan which is set locally and is hilarious, the third of the Fablehaven books by Brandon Mull, and, 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami.
I finished two books on last week's trip to the mountains: Everything on a Waffle by Polly Horvath and Bellwether by Connie Willis. The delightful Horvath book was our audio book for the ride home. Bellwether I read when I couldn't sleep.
I still want to finish Robopocalypse. I also want to finish Goddess Interrupted by Aimée Carter and Outside In by Maria V. Snyder.
What about you?

Looks like you had quite a good week! You're reading quite a few books that I have my eye on - like 1Q84 and Robopocalypse.
Comment #6: Monday, February 27, 2012 at 17:44:05
I'm almost done with Robocalypse; it's very good. 1Q84 will take me many more weeks.

I really enjoyed Maria Snyder's Inside Out and look forward to reading the sequel
Comment #8: Monday, February 27, 2012 at 17:46:58
Outside In is as intense as the original... but it's a very different story.
Comment #9: Monday, February 27, 2012 at 08:56:13
I like Marilynne Robinson's books...and The Postmistress was another memorable read.
I'm going to have to check out June 29, 1999. I'm very curious.
Thanks for visiting my blog.

June 29, 1999 is one of David Wiesner's wonderful picture books.

Wow, that's a lot of reading. I only finished two last week but am hoping this week is better.
Glad to have found your blog via the Monday Hop. My Monday Post .

It's five full length books and eight picture books, most of which I listened to as my daughter read.

I used to love when the book orders game in but more the ordering process was a bear. The kids always wanted more than we could afford. :)
Have an awesome week!!

That happens with mine too but they've gotten better at working with the budget I give them.

I hope you're enjoying Outside In! I love tsubasa!! *-*
Comment #18: Monday, February 27, 2012 at 17:57:32
I am enjoying Outside In. I like Tsubasa but only in its xxxHolic context. I don't think I would have stuck with the series as long without that connection.

I was glad I listened to Robopocalypse. I think it would have been much more taxing to read in print. Hope you finish it soon!

I just finished Robopocalypse today. I agree about you re the strengths of the audio. It helped me keep the characters and locations apart.

Wow that is a lot of books completed in one week. I wish I could do that. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I read for an hour before bed and I don't watch a lot of TV. Both help me finish multiple books in a week.

My boys (aged 6 and 7) just discovered graphic novels and have been devouring the ones at the library this week.
Wishing you a great reading week!

I haven't heard of Spoon by Amy Krause Rosenthal, so I must seek it out. I adore her books.
Comment #26: Thursday, March 01, 2012 at 13:30:32
There is a follow up book to Spoon published this year, Chopsticks. I haven't read it yet, but I plan to.

Yay for Outside In, and the Son of Neptune! I want to read Robocalypse as well.
Comment #28: Thursday, March 01, 2012 at 13:31:00
I have about 80 pages left in Outside In and I just finished Robocalypse. Both are great books. Son of Neptune will take me a little longer as I've only just started.

Oh, I'm definitely interested to see what you think of IQ84.
Comment #30: Thursday, March 01, 2012 at 13:33:30
I am enjoying 1Q84 but I'm only reading a few chapters a week. It's going to take me until the start of summer to finish it.
