Sean and Harriet's Room

Every year I make a calendar for Sean to hang in his room. Each page is his favorite render from that month of the previous year.

Sean has had this clock since he was a baby. He likes the clock but insists that a monster lives inside of it.

We've put Harriet's crib close to the door so we can get to her quickly in the middle of the night and hopefully let Sean sleep a little better.

The plan for this weekend is to put Sean's toys into his toybox to free up space on the changing table.

Here is Sean's "wall of owls" that hangs over his bed.

The macaws in space (called "The Everything") is an acrylic painting I did back in 1994 around the time of the Northridge earthquake. I painted it while listening to "Days of Future Passed" by the Moody Blues and "Rhapsody in Blue" by George Gershwin. Sean found this painting a few weeks ago when he was helping me clean out the master bedroom. He liked it so much that we decided to hang it in his room. I hope Harriet likes it too.

Sean's "money piggy" sitting on a chair my grandmother painted. It's old enough that the paint is probably lead based. We will be putting it in storage this weekend until Harriet is older.

Sean's new book shelf. He has a lot of books.

The postcard came from Glasgow and the calendar came from his grandparents.
